Of love and marriage in a small town...

About Me

As an artist, I've found inspiration in the beautiful North Georgia mountains and in the people who have enriched my life. I love to paint landscapes. I love the rich color and texture, the contrast of cobalt blue and rich, earthy red. After a spring storm in the mountains, the range of color is breathtaking: deep green pines (almost black), contrasted against the brilliant lime of willows, the lavenders and blues in the distant mountains. My people are the Appalachian people. I love their wisdom and humor. I also love the crazy, mixed-up family tree they've created, by virtue of their clannish nature. ~ Southern Muse
